Summary: iamaDroid uses a limited number of carefully vetted service providers (“sub-processors”) to support our infrastructure and communications. Each sub-processor operates under a written agreement that ensures GDPR-equivalent data protection and confidentiality obligations.

1. Definition

A sub-processor is any external entity engaged by iamaDroid to process client or chatbot data on our behalf in order to provide, maintain, or improve the Service.

2. Use of Sub-processors

We engage sub-processors only where necessary to operate core platform components, such as infrastructure hosting, email delivery, and analytics. Each is selected following a security and privacy review, and data access is restricted to the minimum necessary to perform contracted services.

3. Legal Safeguards

  • All sub-processors are bound by written Data Processing Agreements (DPAs) consistent with Article 28 of the GDPR.
  • Sub-processors must implement technical and organizational measures equivalent to iamaDroid’s own security standards.
  • Where data may be transferred outside the UK or EEA, appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) or adequacy decisions apply.

4. Change Management & Notification

Before adding or replacing a sub-processor, iamaDroid evaluates the vendor’s security posture and data-protection record. Clients with an active DPA will be notified in advance of material changes and given an opportunity to object if permitted under their agreement.

5. Current Sub-processor Categories

For security reasons, we do not publicly disclose the names or locations of our sub-processors. The following categories describe the types of providers engaged:

  • Infrastructure & Hosting Providers — secure data-center and managed-database services.
  • Email & Notification Services — transactional and system messaging.
  • Analytics & Monitoring Tools — privacy-focused usage and performance metrics.
  • Backup & Disaster Recovery Services — encrypted, geographically separated storage.

6. Access to Full List

The complete list of active sub-processors, including names and data-handling regions, is available to clients who have executed a Data Processing Agreement (DPA). To request this information, contact our Data Protection Officer at support@iamadroid.com.
